Dr. Botero is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist by the American Board of Anesthesiologists and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pain Medicine. He is also a Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice and Diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management.

Dr. Botero graduated from Medicine as Physician and Surgeon (MD) at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia, South America. Besides training in Anesthesia at the same University, and being attending professor for more than two years at San Ignacio Hospital - Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia, he also repeated and completed his training in anesthesia with research track at Case Western Reserve University - Metrohealh campus, after completing one year internship in internal medicine at Saint Luke's Hospital, affiliated to Case Western Reserve University. He specializes in the interventional and medical management of multiple areas of pain.

Dr. Botero also completed a subspecialized training as Anesthesiologist for Cardiac, Vascular and Thoracic Surgery at the Methodist Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Medical Center, Houston, with previous training in Colombia, South America and The Cleveland Clinic.
 
Dr. Botero is an interventional pain specialist, who treat patients with chronic pain with conventional interventional and medical therapies.

He is member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the Florida Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Florida Society of Anesthesiologist, the American Academy of Pain Management and the American Medical Association.
